Hello, I am Melanie!

It all began… after almost losing my husband. Came to grips with the reality of how short life is. Photography was a therapy of sorts for me. Preserving images of the people and moments in my life became essential.
I don't want others to be in the position of having nothing tangible of those loved ones and their memories.
And I am sure your desire is to preserve the memories of those who matter to you as well.
Life goes by all too quickly…
~ One minute you are getting married.
~ Next you are welcoming a precious baby into your life.
They grow up all so fast...
~ The first day of school arrives causing you to cry as you are watching them barely reach the first step up into the bus.
~ Then they are almost teenagers trying to figure out who they are.
~ All of a sudden you turn around and they are walking up to the podium to receive their diploma.
~ And in a few years your “babies” are getting married themselves and then are having babies of their own.
How can all this happen in a blink of an eye?
~ Your desire is to have these moments as they grow frozen in time.
~ You will want to look back and see those memories decorating your home, bringing a smile to your face and an overflow of love in your heart.
~ I have been where you are now, watching your "littles" as they are growing into adults. And now seeing my grandkids doing the same.
~ With my experience not only in photography, and with being a mother of four and grandmother of seven helps me in connecting with children. I spend a little "get to know me" time with the kids at the beginning of the session, before I bring out the "big black box", aka camera.

A few tidbits about me…
~ Love the sound of a V8, a Harley motorcycle and my car with a 2.0 turbo (it has such a sweet rumble).
~ Favorite comfort food is mac & cheese.
~ My coffee of choice is Dunkin Donuts Cold Brew with French vanilla, extra cream and monk fruit sweetener.
~Something odd I eat - chocolate cake in a glass of milk (birthday cake type especially).
~ Prefer just about anything Apple | Mac and camera gear over jewelry or flowers any day. (Not to say I don't like them, I do!)
~ My husband’s nickname for me is Flash. I’ll leave you to guess why… (hint - has nothing to do with photography).
